2025-2026 Request for Applications (RFA)
The Request for Applications (RFA) for the 2025-2026 AmeriCorps Program Year is now available for planning and operational grants. To review the RFA and apply for AmeriCorps State funding, please click the button below and download “CVS-25-028 RFA.pdf.”
Please also review the timeline and resources below for submitting a general AmeriCorps application or an application for Youth Mental Health Corps, specifically. Deadline to submit: February 7, 2025, 11:59pm ET.
For organizations that plan to submit an application, please plan to join us for the optional preapplication call on January 16, 2025, from 1:00pm-3:00pm ET.
Applicants planning to attend the preapplication conference must register by sending an email to michael.jackson@dss.virginia.gov.
In the email the Applicant must list organization’s name, the name of attendees, attendee’s telephone number and email address. Applicants that have registered will receive the teleconference information no later than 10:00am ET on January 15, 2025.
Please note: Once the RFA is released, Serve Virginia staff will be unable to provide support to individual applicants.

Youth Mental Health Corps Applications
Organizations interested in participating in Virginia’s Youth Mental Health Corps should plan to complete an application for the 2025-2026 AmeriCorps Program Year, according to the guidelines detailed above.
Within an application supplement, you will designate how many of your total members will participate in the Youth Mental Health Corps. Organizations should also review the Portrait of a Thriving Youth framework from Youth-Nex, which will need to align with your program plan.
