2-1-1 Virginia, the Commonwealth's information and referral system connecting people with available community services, provided nearly 200,000 referrals for needed services last year! The free phone service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and maintains a secured database of more than 6,000 agencies. The professionally-trained operators handled nearly 150,000 in/outbound calls and assisted more than 74,000 callers last year.
