Applications are now open for 2025 MLK Day of Service mini grants to support service projects that engage individual and group volunteers in opportunities to serve others in January 2025. Across the Commonwealth, nonprofit organizations, faith-based groups, and others plan MLK Day of Service projects honoring the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. in their communities. Serve Virginia and the Virginia Service Foundation support these efforts through mini grant funding opportunities as well as promotional assistance to engage community members in volunteerism.
Organizations can apply for up to $250 of mini grant funding from the Virginia Service Foundation. Applicants must represent public or private nonprofit organizations that serve the Commonwealth of Virginia, including faith-based and other community organizations, public or private schools, institutions of higher education, and government entities. Funding will be provided on a reimbursement basis to selected organizations and proof of project completion and volunteer engagement is required.
