Nominations are now open for the 2024 National Service Awards! Each year, this awards program honors AmeriCorps members and AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers and alumni in Virginia who have performed outstanding service in their communities. Selected honorees receive a monetary award and will be celebrated during the virtual 2024 Virginia Volunteerism Summit in May.

Deadline for nominations: 5:00pm ET on March 20, 2024

The annual National Service Awards are presented in the following categories:

• AmeriCorps State Member of the Year (Members from 2022-2023 or 2023-2024 program are eligible)
• AmeriCorps VISTA Member of the Year (Members who served in 2023 are eligible)
• AmeriCorps Seniors Member of the Year (Foster Grandparents, Senior Companions, and RSVP
  volunteers who served in 2023 are eligible)
• AmeriCorps NCCC Team of the Year (NCCC Project Teams who completed projects in Virginia in
  2023 are eligible)
• AmeriCorps Alum of the Year (from any stream of service or year prior to 2023) *alumni must live in Virginia
