We are thrilled to announce that Chester W. Spellman will be one of our keynote speakers for the 2025 Virginia Volunteerism Summit, taking place virtually May 14-15 with follow-up in-person SERVE Convenings in June!

Chester W. Spellman was appointed by the President to serve as the Director of AmeriCorps State and National at AmeriCorps on August 1, 2017. During his three-and-a-half-year tenure at AmeriCorps, Chester provided mission-centric leadership focused on national impact and program improvement.

Prior to joining AmeriCorps, Chester served as the Chief Executive Officer of Volunteer Florida, the Florida Commission on Community Service, for over five years. Chester has more than twenty years of experience in the nonprofit sector and ten years of senior leadership experience in the public sector. He has devoted his life to service and believes there is no greater call than the calling to serve others.

Chester currently serves as President of CW Spellman Consulting. He specializes in providing strategic and management consulting services to nonprofit organizations. The mission of CW Spellman Consulting is to help organizations succeed, reach their full potential, and achieve increased community impact.
