AmeriCorps recently released a new funding opportunity for agencies, institutions, and organizations interested in AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP programming to increase the impact of volunteers ages 55 and older who provide volunteer service in response to local community needs.
AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP volunteers tutor children, help prepare simple taxes, assist victims of natural disasters, provide nutrition/food support, facilitate opioid and substance abuse education workshops, and serve in their communities in many other ways. While serving, AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP volunteers improve their own lives by staying active and civically engaged.
Eligible applicants include public agencies, government entities within states or territories (e.g., cities, counties), institutes of higher education, Indian tribes, and private and non-profit organizations, both secular and faith-based.
Deadline to apply: September 18 at 5pm ET
