Senior Corps program directors met recently in Reston for their annual training event with the theme of "Senior Corps: Champions of Service for a New Era." Corporation for National and Community Service CEO Wendy Spencer expressed appreciation for all Senior Corps programs and wished RSVP a Happy 45th Anniversary. As part of the day, Senior Corps directors received a special letter of appreciation from President Obama and were surprised with a guest appearance by Foster Grandparent Virginia McLaurin,whose granddaughter just signed up to become a Foster Grandparent as well!
