AmeriCorps member Frank Lott has not allowed the current COVID-19 pandemic to stop him from serving his community. As an AmeriCorps member at CARITAS AmeriCorps, Frank provides essential community services as well as support for clients in their recovery and assistance with developing workforce readiness. She recalls employees at the local card store asking her grandmother if they could take her coat: "They knew she would be there for hours picking cards for everyone she knew, not just for holidays or birthdays, but for bad days, sad days, and days she thought we needed a lift. Story of Service: Northumberland County Lions Club

In the past two years the Northumberland County Lions Club has served over 16,000 people, provided over 4,000 hours of service to the community, and has donated over $20,000. Lions provide support across Northumberland County, supporting Little League teams, after-Prom parties, Junior Beta Club activities, disaster relief, high school scholarships, music competitions, blood drives, art competitions, shelters, food banks, and food pantries.
